Change Hostname of FreeBSD Server

To change your hostname to example server24.hosthat.com

Run the command ‘hostname server24.hosthat.com’
Edit the file /etc/hosts
Edit the file /etc/rc.conf

You can see hostname of a FreeBSD server with command

server22# hostname
server22.hosthat.com
server22#
