One of the reasons that made a popular messaging app Snapchat highly popular was because of the feature that let the message expire itself in a certain time. Facebook spokesperson reportedly said, “We’re running a small pilot of a feature on Facebook for iOS that lets people schedule deletion of their posts in advance.” The iOS users may soon see an option which would allow a post to “expire” anywhere from 1 hour to week. For those that are wondering, even after the post expires and is removed from the timeline, it still takes a few months to take it out of the back-up servers.
