Few days back, i have posted about Russian Youtube clone
Today i see a post in techchurch saying russian government is going to buy the video sharing site for $15 million. I think this should be the first government owned youtube clone site if the deal is made. The site will be run by tax payers money 🙂
Having government control the video site, they will have better control what visitors need to see and what not. How about blocking other video sites ? Few country have already blocked youtube for short time due to inappropriate video uploaded by users to youtube.
