South Korean firm Samsung has launched the Galaxy Mega 2 smartphone in India at Rs 20,900.The smartphone has 2,800 mAh battery and measures 163.6×84.9×8.6mm with 194 grams weight.
The Mega 2 phablet is a 6-inch device with a resolution of 720x 1280 pixels and comes with a quad core 1.2Ghz Snapdragon 401 processor along with a 1.5GB RAM. This Android 4.4 KitKat powered device comes with an 8MP rear camera as well as a 2.1MP primary camera. The GPU on this variant is an Adreno 306.
At approximately Rs 21,000, Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 competes against the likes of HTC Desire 816, Nokia Lumia 1320 and Sony Xperia T2 Ultra.
The Mega 2 comes with an 8GB ROM that can be extended up to 64GB through microSD. In terms of connectivity, this 3G phablet supports WiFi b/g/n/ GLP with Glonass and comes with Bluetooth and NFC radios. Along with these hardware specifications, Samsung has also loaded some of its proprietary software on the device including Story Album, Ultra Power Saving Mode, S Health 3.0, S Voice, Group Play and the S Browser.
