OpenCart script and plugin installation service for new client

Looking for Linux Server Admin or WordPress Expert? We can help.

Yesterday got an OpenCart script + plugin installation request to our installaton department. He requested us to install Opencart Version 2.1.0.1 because the plugin The ONE POS will not work with latest version.

OpenCart installation was very easy but got errors when i install the plugins.

First I installed The ONE POS 1.3.5-LT plugin and got error as popup.

SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

I tried to fix the errors. But couldn’t find a solution and i told the client to send different version.

Then i installed The ONE POS-1.17.5 and but the plugin settings was not in admin menu.

The below step fixed the issue.

Admin > Extensions > Modification > Click refresh button

Installed TMD Import Export Module 2.2.x2.3.x. and got error

Undefined variable import in system/storage/modification/admin/view/template/common/menu.tpl

Again tried TMD Import Export Module 2.x and this time got permission error.

If you are also getting such error, make following changes to solve the problem:

Step 1: Login to admin area

Step 2: Navigate to System > Users > Users and find your user account then choose “edit” button

Step 3: Check which User Group your user account is assigned to

Step 4: Navigate to System > Users > User Groups and find your User Group then choose “edit” button

Step 5: Check all the checkboxes and save the changes

If you have questions about OpenCart, please ask in the comments and I’ll try to help.
