repquota: Can’t resolve mountpoint path (deleted)

Looking for Linux Server Admin or WordPress Expert? We can help.

On a Cpanel server, i got following error message

repquota: Can't resolve mountpoint path (deleted)
/home/virtfs/CPANEL_USER_NAME/home/CPANEL_USER_NAME: No such file or directory

To solve this issue, first find the mount

grep -i CPANEL_USER_NAME /proc/mounts

Example

root@server46 [~]# grep -i CPANEL_USER_NAME /proc/mounts
/dev/sda8 (deleted)\040/home/virtfs/CPANEL_USER_NAME/home/CPANEL_USER_NAME ext3 rw,relatime,data=ordered,usrquota 0 0
root@server46 [~]#

Now unmount it.

umount /home/virtfs/CPANEL_USER_NAME/home/CPANEL_USER_NAME

Now run

/scripts/clear_orphaned_virtfs_mounts --user=CPANEL_USER_NAME
/scripts/fixquotas
