First thing you need to do is login to your WordPress admin area and go to Users -> All Users.

Hover over your ‘Admin‘ user, then click on ‘Edit‘ button.

Enter your new secure password.

Then click on ‘Update Profile‘.

To reset via phpmyadmin, edit wp_users table. Find the user, update its password while selecting left side drop down to “md5”
