United Kingdom have new top level domain .uk available for registration now. Previously UK had only co.uk and org.uk domains available for public registration.

UK’s domain registry nominet.org.uk announced .uk top level doamin on 10 June 2014.

Many other countries like India (.in), Germany (.de), France (.fr) had top level domain names available for public registration.

All co.uk and org.uk domain name owners can register respective .uk domain name.

nominet.org.uk said more than 50,000 domains registered within 24 hours of .uk domains availability.
