Apple has released the next major version of their mobile operating system, Apple iOS 8, and the software comes with a new design and a wide range of new features.
Apple’s iOS 8 is compatible with a number of existing devices, it will also be available on the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, when they launch this Friday.
iOS 8 is available to download on the iPhone 4S, the iPhone 5, the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S, it is also available on the 5th generation iPod Touch, and the iPad Air, the iPad Mini and the iPad Mini with Retina display.
As well as a new user interface, there are a range of new features, which include a new Health App, Apple’s iCloud Drive which will let you backup all of your photos to iCloud, a new keyboard, a new messages app and much more.
You can check to see if the update is available for your device by going to Settings > General > Software Update, make sure that you backup you device before you install the update. You can find out full details of what is included in the update over at Apple at the link below.
