Google announced this morning that Android Lollipop (5.0) has begun to roll out for Nexus devices over the air and will be available very soon.
Wi-Fi Nexus 7s, Nexus 5, and Nexus 10 will now be able to upgrade from previous firmware KitKat to the newer update. According to the official Nexus forums, Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 will receive minor updates to address some bugs.
Android 5.0 Lollipop adds a significant amount of features and changes, but the biggest is a new look and feel that Google calls Material Design. The new design adds fresh animations and a flatter look to Android, alongside easily the most important update to the world’s most-used mobile OS in several years.
